Opportunities
Current Graduate Students
Current Ph.D. students at University of Oregon in the Chemistry department can reach out to Prof. Melamed as early as the summer to inquire about rotations for the following academic year. We will set up a meeting to discuss research experience, interests, and career goals. You are encouraged to express interest early.
Prospective Graduate Students
Prospective graduate students are encouraged to apply to the Ph.D. program in Chemistry and Biochemistry at University of Oregon. You can find details of the application process on the department website. If your background is interdisciplinary, Prof. Melamed is also enthusiastic about admitting students from the Physics Ph.D. program. You can email Prof. Melamed with a brief statement on your research experience and interests as well as your CV. Eligible students are encouraged to apply for external fellowships like the NSF GRFP.
Postdoctoral Researchers
Please consider applying to external postdoctoral fellowships, as funding is not always available for postdoctoral researchers. Interested scientists may reach out to Prof. Melamed with your CV and a cover letter.
Undergraduate Students
We are always interested in mentoring UO undergrads in Chemistry, Physics, and Materials Science. Reach out to Prof. Melamed to inquire about research opportunities.
